Cranberry Links

A frog's view of a cranberry harvest.

Here are some of our favorite cranberry sites:

Cape Cod Cranberry Growers’ Association is one of the oldest farming organization in the country. Their website provides the most up to date information of what is happening in the cranberry world. Cranberry growers rely heavily on the work and support of the organization.

UMass Cranberry Station supports the cranberry industry through research and extension services.

The Cranberry Institute is a not-for-profit organization that is funded by members in the business of processing, handling, and selling cranberries. The organization plays a key rule in promoting cranberries through research, education, and environmental stewardship.

Cranberry Marketing Committee is an excellent website that provides information on the health benefits of cranberries including recipes. Their section “All About Cranberries” is one of the best on the web for finding information on how cranberries grow, are harvested, and a detailed history of the industry.

The A.D. Makepeace Company is the world’s largest cranberry grower and recognized leader in environmental stewardship. Makepeace provides tours of their bogs throughout the year and every year they host a Cranberry Harvest Celebration, where visitors can experience a cranberry harvest firsthand. The Tihonet Village Market, which is located at their main facilities, is the only place to go for fresh deli sandwiches and a taste of cranberries during the harvest.

Ocean Spray Cranberries Inc. is an agricultural cooperative that has been around for over 75 years. We are fans of Ocean Spray simply because both our families are members of the cooperative. I (Revel) was even a member for a couple of years when I owned my own cranberry farm. If you do check out their website, you will see Alison’s family. My father’s backside is also on there!. If you are familiar with the Ocean Spray commercials, you just might be watching Henry and Justin standing in my family’s bog.
