Walking the plank on my wedding day.

Our sweet Caroline!
Welcome to Cranmoms! My name is Revel, but if I like you, you’re allowed to call me Revs. I am passionate about cranberries, wholesome foods, natural living, and my family. My parents are cranberry growers in Southeastern Massachusetts where I grew up to appreciate the hard work of farming. While my dad managed most of the day to day activities on the bogs, my mom published National Cranberries Magazine. Whether I was helping my dad scout for insects on the bogs or layout pages for the magazine, I was expected to learn the trade of growing cranberries. For four summers I worked in the Entomology Department at the UMass Cranberry Station, where I learned Integrated Pest Management (IPM) skills. As college came, I ventured out on my own and left the cranberry world for more exciting adventures. Little did I know my heart would eventually lead me back home! I began my own IPM company, scouting up to two thousand acres a week of cranberry bogs during the growing season. Soon, I found myself signing papers to my own little bog! It was an exciting time in my life. I then went to work for A.D. Makepeace doing research and development on their cranberry bogs. Life was amazing but something was missing! I met my husband, Michael, soon after and began to feel complete. We fell in love and had an amazing wedding at my parents bogs. With much anxiety we decided to sell my house and bogs to my parents and move away from cranberry country in order to be closer to my husband’s work. Soon after moving we learned we were expecting our first child. Caroline Susan Cotsford burst into our world on September 23, 2009 and motherhood greeted me with indescribable joy! I left my work at Makepeace and began my new job at home. I thoroughly love being at home and taking care of my family. As much as I miss working on the bogs, my time with my daughter and husband cannot be replaced. In my “free” time, I enjoy gardening, reading, exercising, hiking, and playing my flute.
