Cranberry Moms

My Dearest Lilla,

I blinked and now you are one, toddling around my kitchen, pulling open all my cabinet draws and saying “big girl” words like “shi shi” and “mama” and “Ab” And just like that the first year of your life feel like it slipped through my fingers and now it is gone! In the quiet of the night or early morning when you are lying next to me I can’t help but try and remember those “every day moments” of your first year so as not to forget them ever.  Like the way you snuggle your petite body up against mine while you are sleeping or the way you point to everything and then look at me with your head tipped to the side waiting for my answer.  You have brought so much joy and laughter into our family and we are so lucky to have you as our baby girl.  Your laugh is infectious and your smile lights up a room. Your big sister, Shi Shi, is the best in the world. Helping you walk, reading stories to you and singing you bedtime songs.  Just today she decided that she wanted to take a nap in your room and created a bed right next to yours to make sure she is with you always.  I am the luckiest mom in the world to have such loving, beautiful, sweet daughters. Happy One year to my little Lillie bean!  We LOVE you so very much.
