Okay, I’m a day late in posting this. Can I blame my tardiness on plain old tiredness? Anyhow, both Alison and I have been pretty busy fighting colds and whatever illnesses are out there. We do apologize for being a bit slow or even absent with our usual schedule of blogging.
With that said, I’d like to share a really simple way to add some decoration to your house for the holidays. Actually, you can use this anytime, but the red berries make it perfect for this time of year.

HGTV's version of floating berries. They've added red food coloring to the water for an extra flare.
Floating Berries
What you’ll need:
- a couple of cups of cranberries (fresh or frozen)
- water
- a couple of tea light candles
Simply fill a bowl or glass container with water and then add the cranberries. You can use as many or as few cranberries as you like. I like to fill up the bowl completely with the berries, but it’s whatever style suits you. Then add a couple of tea light candles and then light them. That’s it!
Another twist that I really enjoy is to add some cranberries into the water of a flower vase. The blogger at Drawings in Motions added pine needles which I think is a fantastic idea for the holidays:

what i also like to do is layer them in vases with clear marbles and then stick pine branches in there straight up.
now that’s a great idea! sounds easy enough for me to handle too!
Great decorating idea, Rev! Thanks
