Pentwater, MI
Pentwater, MI is located in the south west of Michigan. It is a small, quaint town with summer and year round residences. John’s family has for 50 years vacationed in Pentwater at their summer cottage right on lake Michigan. The cottage with its 80 steps to the beach is the perfect place to relax, spend time with family and long afternoons on the beach.
We spent our week in Pentwater on the beach with its pure white sandy shores and dunes. Playing with cousins, Charlotte enjoyed being buried in the sand, building drip castles and swimming in lake.
On the cool mornings we either went into town to shop on main street or enjoy the outdoors. Charlotte went blueberry picking for the first time and loved it! She couldn’t stop eating the blueberries right off the trees! I was lucky enough to bring some blueberries home and will enjoy several blueberry treats this fall.
On Thursday night, we spent the evening listening to an hour long concert on the center green on main street – a Pentwater summer tradition. The marching band played wonderful music and we danced around the green into the night.
Pentwater is beauty with its prestine beaches and beautiful Michigan lake it is truly an amazing place in the United States.
